This is your three-step guide to getting started with Tap2Tour!
Use these resources to get yourself and your team setup and trained.
Remember, Tap2Tour is free to Tour Operators, including training & support!
Here are some things to know as you get started:
Tap2Tour requires NFC-capable phones. Every user must have an Android or iOS phone that can read the NFC ID cards and wearables most cruise lines use. (Watch Get to Know Tap2Tour, below, to learn more.)
Tap2Tour requires an internet connection. Every user must also have access to the internet on the pier. This can be via cellular data or nearby wifi. Tap2Tour can operate for short periods without internet access, but internet must be generally accessible to send and receive updates.
Cruise lines decide. Keep in mind some cruise lines may restrict the use of certain Tap2Tour features, such as when adding guests to tours is allowed.
Everyone that wil use Tap2Tour should watch Get to Know Tap2Tour to learn the basics of using the app. We suggest you watch it to learn what Tap2Tour is and get your phone setup, and then watch it again, just before your first day using it with the cruise line.
Leaders only: Also watch Manage Users to learn how to setup accounts for your team.
Download and install Tap2Tour Shorex on your phone from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store.
Once your account profile has been created, you can activate it and log in for the first time. Check out the Activate & Login video for a quick refresher.
Note: Every user must have an account profile created in Tap2Tour before they can activate and login for the first time. The Tap2Tour team will create the first Leader's profile, then a leader will create account profiles for the rest of the team.

Let's review... To be ready, every team member must:
Watch the Get to Know Tap2Tour video and download the app to their phone.
Successfully activate their account and login to Tap2Tour.
Confirm their phone supports NFC and they know where the NFC reader is to tap cards & wearables.
Know how to connect to the internet at the port. This might be via cellular data or wifi (if good wifi is available).
You now know the basics of using Tap2Tour and you are ready to check-in cruise line guests!
